Patrick Chandiga Justine is a South Sudanese refugee living in Northern Uganda. He is the Co-founder and Executive Director of Community Empowerment for Creative Innovation (CECI), a youth founded refugee-led organization whose primary focus is community peacebuilding, livelihood, girl child education, and environmental conservation.
Patrick is a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 advocate and has been working since 2017 with diverse refugee communities in Koboko and Bidi Bidi Refugee Settlement in Uganda organizing, facilitating, and training over 1,200 youth, women, and community leaders in peacebuilding, conflict management and resolution, hate speech mitigation, media literacy, and trauma healing. He is a strong believer that community transformation is a collective responsibility that requires everyone to play their part honestly. While pursuing a career in Community Development, Patrick's vision is to empower 3,000 youth by 2025 to create positive change towards a more peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable community that works for all.
